A full night of sleep

There are many things that can make a person feel great. But nothing like a good night's sleep!

I feel the happiest when I sleep at 9 and wake up in the morning. But nobody really has the time to that anymore. So it is a necessity to incorporate at least 7-8 hours of sleep on a normal day. My brother has a habit of sleeping for 3-4 hours on a weekday and bucking up with 10-12 hours on weekends. I do not support it. It is such an unhealthy way of going about it.
Of course, if you have an exam or an assignment due, you can take that kind of a decision but on a usual day? Please don't do that to yourself.

What can deficiency of sleep do to you?

  • Increased risk of motor vehicle accidents
  • Increase in body mass index – a greater likelihood of obesity due to an increased appetite caused by sleep deprivation
  • Increased risk of diabetes and heart problems
  • Increased risk for psychiatric conditions including depression and substance abuse
  • Decreased ability to pay attention, react to signals or remember new information
How to get sleep when it doesn't come to you:
  • Turn off electronic gadgets. At least put them away 15 minutes before the time you want to sleep.
  • Read something boring. I used to use that a lot when I was younger. Now I guess I'm more tired so I sleep off really fast.
  • Have a warm shower a couple of minutes before.
Sleep on, snooze a little!

  4. I might get all these issues I get up at 4am five days a week I do not sleep well I try. I need to sleep more on the weekend. Great information very helpful.
